National Consumer Helpline / e-Jagriti (Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions)
There's no automotive-specific regulator in India — if a manufacturer or dealer doesn't resolve your complaint, you can call the National Consumer Helpline or file a case with a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission through the e-Jagriti online portal (e-jagriti.gov.in), under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
This is the general consumer-court route available for any product or service complaint, not an automotive-specific authority the way banking or aviation have. Separately, India's Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) can act on a pattern of the same defect reported across many complaints (including ordering a vehicle recall), but it does not take individual complaints for resolution — for your own case, use the National Consumer Helpline/e-Jagriti route above.
